Aim: I want to find out how light colours mix together.

 Research: Mixing light colours are called additive mixing. All these colours evolve around wavelengths, the bigger the wavelength the brighter and bolder the colour is. Fact is that, white is made of every colour in the rainbow as it has it has all wavelengths.  

Certain objects appear different colours because of different wavelengths. White appears white because it reflects its own colour. Black appears as all different, dark colours because it doesn't reflect its own colour. This picture you simply see a red shirt and blue shorts, you see red because it reflects off the colours of red, orange and yellow which all evolve around the colour red. Then blue reflects off blue, dark blue and purple. They all evolve around blue! 

There is a difference between on screen colours and real life colours e.g inks and paints. On TV screen most colours mixed together would reflect as the colour black.

While mixing actual paints in real life you will

white instead. Yellow, Magenta & Cyan are the only colours that cannot be absorbed to reflect, instead if you mix those three colours together you will end up with black and no colours will be reflected back. All primary colours can be turned into a lighter or darker version of themselves. 

Pollution - Think globally, act locally.

This is my google doc on how one of the worlds worst problems, is pollution. This page explains how pollution produced and how we good get rid of it. It also says how we good double to deeds at once by using bikes for transport which would give us the exercise we need.

The Continental Drift.

The Continental Drift is the movement of the Earths continents, close to each other. The reason for its name is the continents drifting across the ocean."Pangaea" was a so called super-continent. Africa,India, South America, Antarctica, Eurasia, North America, Australia & New Zealand were all apart of Pangaea. There were two names from Pangaea called Gondwanaland and Laurasia.

These are the two logos I have made, my first design is simple, very brief. 

The second design I was inspired by a picture I saw, and then just put my first name underneath. 

My Research on Dog Handlers - Bio Security

This is my Dog Handlers poster, about all the research I gathered for our Bio Security tasks. I got all of my information simply off the internet and also watching episodes of New Zealand's own TV special called "Boarder Patrol" and hearing facts from my teacher. 

The New Zealand Rugby League team came to my house!

What a privilege to have such a high ranking team in the League world to come over to my house. The whole team was there including staff and management, it was all for my Grandfather, who had created a whole garage of League items. Jerseys, caps, badges, news letters, photos. I was ecstatic seeing the whole team walk down our long driveway from a huge bus! They were all so tall and nice. I saw some of my favourite players, and my brother saw some of his friends he had met through is club! They didn't have much to stay as they had to jet off to more signings for fans. One of my favourite players adored my pets. Five minutes into before they were leaving half of the team found our massive basketball court! And I overheard them saying they didn't want to leave!! I really enjoyed having the team, over as my grandad got show them his special garage.  This would not of been made possible if there amazing coach David Kidwell making my grandfathers dream come true! He is also a family friend since playing for the Hornby Panthers himself!
